Two-wheeler mechanics told to upgrade their skills

District Association celebrates anniversary

Mysuru:  Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha has called upon two-wheeler mechanics to upgrade  their skills according to the changing technology and development in the automobile industry sector.

Speaking after inaugurating the sixth anniversary of Mysuru District Two-Wheelers Association at Shikshakara Bhavan on T. Narsipur Road in city this morning, he said that the automobiles industry was witnessing a tremendous change due to advancement in Science  and Technology and added that the automobile companies have been releasing new vehicles to the market every three months besides establishing their service stations. However, there is an urgent need for mechanics to hone their skills according the new inventions, the MP said.

He also assured to get the funds sanctioned from the Centre to improve the efficiency and skills of the mechanics.

MLA Tanveer  Sait and District Minister G.T. Devegowda, who were also present, suggested mechanics to improve their skills as vehicle  population was increasing every year. They also urged the association members to fight for facilities under various government schemes and provide proper education to  their children, .

They said that the members of the association should not stop their children from going to schools and colleges due to financial issues and urged the mechanics to avail education loans to ensure that their children take up higher education.

Various lubricants manufacturers and automobile spare parts companies had set up stalls displaying their products at the venue.

BJP leader H.V. Rajeev, Association President S.K . Dinesh and others were present.
