Mysuru: As part of Christmas and New Year, the State-run KMF – MyMUL yesterday launched a 20-day discount sale of its ‘Nandini’ brand sweets in city.
MyMUL President K.G. Mahesh inaugurated ‘Nandini Sihi Utsava’ (Nandini Sweet Mela) with the slogan “Celebrate Christmas and New Year with Nandini Sweets’ at the Milk Booth opposite the Milk Dairy on Bannur Road in Siddarthanagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahesh said that the Mela has been organised to expand the market base of ‘Nandini’ brand. A 10 percent discount on the MRP price of Nandini Sweets will be given at all Nandini parlours across the city till Jan.9, 2019.
Pointing out that there are 68 types of Nandini sweets, including Mysuru Pak, Barfi, Badam Barfi, Ladoo, Peda, Kunda, etc., he reiterated that 10 percent discount will be given till Jan.9 on all types of sweets.
He further said that this was the second Nandini Sihi Utsava this year, with the first one held in June for 10 days, which witnessed an overwhelming demand from the public for Nandini sweets and added that the KMF is organising this Utsava simultaneously throughout the State.
KMF Director K.C. Balaram, MD Dr. M.S. Vijay Kumar, Marketing Manager Dr. G.S. Prakash, MyMUL Managers K.S. Narasimhamurthy, T.S. Raghu and others were present.
