Rangapravesha of K. Nikitha at Jaganmohan Palace on Dec.30

Mysuru: Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of K. Nikitha, disciple of Vid. Sridhar Jain  of Apthamitra-fame, has been organised at Jaganmohan Palace auditorium tomorrow (Dec.30) at 5.30 pm, under the aegis of Sri Nimishamba School of Dance, Mysuru.

Sri Somanatheshwara Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Mutt, Mysuru, will grace the occasion. Retd. Principal of Maharaja’s College and Rajyotsava awardee Prof. C. Sarvamangala, Noopura Kalavidara Cultural Trust Director Prof. K. Ramamurthy Rao and Prof. H. Pattabhirama Somayaji of Mangaluru will be the chief guests.

Nikitha will be accompanied by Vid. Sridhar Jain on Natuvanga, Vid. Naveen Andagar on vocal, Vid. G.T. Swamy on mridanga, Vid. Shantha Kumar on violin and Vid. H.N. Ananthakrishna Swamy on rhythm pad.

Profile: Nikitha is the daughter of Film Director Mysore Krishna and R. Nirupama, residents of Kanakadasanagar. She began her journey in dance at a tender age of 9. She had keen interest in both Karnatak Music & Dance since childhood.

She has successfully completed her Bharatanatyam exam junior in the year 2013 under Vidushi Usha Achuthan of Ramakrishnanagar and her senior in the year 2017 under Vidushi Netra Nandan of Rajarajeshwarinagar, Mysuru. Now she is preparing for Vidwat. With many awards and certificates to her credit and being very passionate about dance, she continued her Bharatanatyam training under Vid. Sridhar Jain.
