Decomposed body of woman found near Virajpet

Virajpet: A highly decomposed body of an unidentified woman aged about 21 years was found in a bush at an agriculture field at Arameri village in the taluk here this morning.  

Virajpet Rural Police, who rushed to the spot, removed the  body from the bush. Post-mortem was conducted on the spot in the presence of Superintendent of Police (SP)  Suman D. Pannekar and other Police personnel.

The body is suspected to have been dumped 15 days back and was decomposed beyond recognition.

Parts of the body were eaten by some animals and villagers alerted the police after foul smell was emanating from the bush.  

Police have found a PAN Card at the spot and have collected other informations pertaining to  the case. A team of Police led by Virajpet Circle Inspector N. Kumar Aradhya are carrying out                                 further investigation after registering a case.
