Ban on burning dry waste, leaves

January 29, 2019

The incidence of burning dry waste (garbage) and leaves in many parts of the city is increasing and this has come to the notice of the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC).  It not only increases air pollution but also affects the health of the people due to the toxic fumes that this kind of burning emanates.  Since the summer months are approaching, as a precautionary measure, MCC has warned against burning garbage and dry leaves, according to a press release from MCC’s Public Relations Officer.
