Madhwa-Purandara Namana from Feb.18

Mysuru: A five-day programme entitled ‘Madhwa-Purandara Namana’ has been organised at Sarada Vilas Centenary Hall in Krishnamurthypuram here from Feb.18 to 22, under the auspices of Haridasa Sangeetha Sahityotsava Samithi, according to Dr. G. Ravi and S. Ravikumar, President and Secretary of Haridasa Sangeetha Sahityotsava Samithi.

Review, discourses, lectures, interactions and felicitations are to be held as part of the programme.

The programme will be inaugurated at 6 pm on Feb.18 by Sri Vishwapriya Thirtha, Seer of Adamaru Mutt in Udupi. Sri Raghuvarendra Thirtha, Seer of Bheemasethumuni Vrunda Mutt (Bheemanakatte Chair), will grace the occasion.

Between 6 pm and 8.30 pm on the same day, an analysis on ‘Madhwa Vaibhava’  (Hanuma, Bheema and Madhwa Muni) will be presented by Dr. Vid. Be.Na. Vijayendracharya followed by a music concert by Vid.Jayathirtha Narayana Tasagaov of Bagalkote.

Feb.19 (6 pm and 8.30 pm): A review on ‘Purandara Vaibhava’ will be presented by Vid. Kallapura Pavanacharya of Bengaluru followed by a music concert by Vid. Balasubramanya Sharma of Bengaluru.

Feb.20 (6 pm and 8.30 pm):  Analysis on ‘Kanaka Vaibhava’, ‘Nee Mayeyolago Ninnolu Mayeyo’ will be presented by Vid. Brahmanyacharya of Bengaluru followed by singing programme by Bhoomika Madhusudhan of Bengaluru.

Feb.21 (6 pm and 8.30 pm): Vid. Krishnaraj Kuthpadi of Bengaluru will analyse ‘Vijaya Vaibhava’, ‘Ninna Olumeyinda’  followed by singing programme by youth singer Ashish Nayak and Sushmita.

Feb.22 (6 pm and 8.30 pm): Vid. Venkatanarasimhacharya  Joshi of Guledugudda will analyse ‘Dasadwaya Vaibhava’ (Gopala Dasa, Jagannatha Dasa) followed by a singing programme by Vidu. Nandini Rao.

Everyday between 4.30 pm and 6 pm, ‘Dasa Kusumanjali’ programme will be performed by talented singers of Mysuru under the guidance of Shuba Raghavendra and Sumana Srikanth.
