Mysuru: K.N. Venkatanarayana was re-elected as the President of Akhila Karnataka Brahmana Mahasabha in the elections held on Feb.17, the results of which were announced recently.
K.N. Venkatanarayana bagged 5,173 votes, defeating his rival B.V. Manjunath (1,725 votes) by a huge margin of 3,448 votes.
Speaking on the occasion, Venkatanarayana said that it was a matter of happiness as Brahmin community has become united.
Listing out his priorities, he said that organising the Mahasabha from rural base, bringing the community youth and women to the society’s mainstream and formation of Committees to connect with community members were on the top of his agenda.
Dr. Bhanuprakash Sharma, Mysuru Brahmin Association President D.T. Prakash, senior community member K. Raghuram, Corporator Sowbhagya Murthy, youth community leaders Vikram Iyengar, Ajay Shastri, Jayasimha, Kadakola Jagadish, Vinay Kanagal and others were present.
