Basavaraju (66), a retd. employee of Commercial Tax Department and a resident of Sharadadevinagar, passed away this morning following brief illness.

Son of late Kullasiddaiah and a native of Malavalli in Mandya district, Basavaraju leaves behind his wife Bhagyamma, sons M.B. Pavan Murthy (SOM reporter), M.B. Thejava Murthy, daughter M.B. Chithra and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites at Malavalli in Mandya district today.
