Mysuru: Maharaja Institute of Technology (MIT), Mysuru, a 12-year-old Engineering college established under the Maharaja Education Trust (MET), has an intake of 120 for the following branches: Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, that is a total of 600 intake per year.
Along with this, Master of Computer Application (MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses are also offered with a full intake of 120 each. MIT does offer M-Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Signal Processing and Thermal Engineering with an intake of 18.
This year MIT has been able to place 418 students with 100% placements of eligible students in circuit branches. It had 72 companies visiting the college either to campus or as pool drives.
Highest compensation this time has been Rs. 13 lakh per annum (LPA ) while the average salary has been Rs. 3.36 LPA. MIT had 24 and 26 placements in Civil and Mechanical Engineering respectively, according to a press release from MIT Principal Dr. B. G. Naresh Kumar and Placement Head Dr. Mahesh Rao.
