Dedicated lane for KSRTC buses

April 26, 2017

Sir,

After a gap of almost three years, the Traffic Police and KSRTC  authorities have re-introduced the dedicated bus lane for KSRTC buses entering Mysuru City Bus Stand. This has definitely reduced the traffic chaos and confusion hitherto experienced  in front of  Garuda Mall, to a considerable extent.

But the buses exiting from the same entry gate opposite Garuda Mall is creating traffic jams now. No dedicated bus lane has been provided for the vehicles coming out of the bus stand, probably owing to turning radius issue of the buses.

Since buses need a larger turning radius, KSRTC authorities can widen the exit gate and then demarcate a dedicated bus lane for the exiting buses also.  This will definitely ease the partial congestion presently experienced in front of the bus stand gate and near the traffic signals.
