Former MLA K. Madegowda passes away

Mysuru: Former MLA K. Madegowda (85), passed away at a private hospital in city yesterday following prolonged illness.

Madegowda, who was ill, was undergoing treatment in his brother’s hospital – Mahadeshwara Nursing Home in Siddarthanagar here where he passed away after failing to respond to the treatment.

He leaves behind his wife Rajamma, sons Mahesh and Sridhar, daughter Meenakshi and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed this noon at the foot of Chamundi Hill.

Born to Kenchegowda and Chennamma couple at Kagalipura in T. Narsipur taluk in 1932, Madegowda entered politics in 1960 as a Taluk Board member. He represented Bannur Assembly constituency from 1972 to 1983 and was also the Director of MDCC and Apex Banks.
