Dr. (Capt.) K. Thimmappiah Memorial Tournament: Andhra emerges champions

Andhra Cricket Association emerged champions of the Dr. (Capt.) K. Thimmappiah Memorial Tournament 2019, after their final against Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association ended in a draw at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here yesterday.

Andhra won on the basis of the first innings lead.

Resuming at their overnight score of 139 for seven, Andhra Cricket Association posted a total of 192 in 61.4 overs in their second innings setting a target of 359 to win for Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association.

In reply, Chhattisgarh State CA scored 28 for no loss in 4.5 overs, before rain cried halt to the proceedings.
