Mysuru: The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Peer Committee visited Maharaja’s College here yesterday commencing their two-day inspection of the facilities at the College.

The College students lined up on either side of the access path to the College and accorded a warm welcome to the Committee members.

The Committee, comprising Prof. Sachidananda Mohanty, Dr. Ashan Riddi and Dr. Neelam Mittal, is going to assess the facilities provided in the College for the students covering library, stock of books, laboratory, reading room, play ground, auditorium, drinking water facility, toilets and general cleanliness.

The members interacted with the Department Heads and faculty to elicit details on student strength and achievements. During the occasion, Journalism Dept. Head Dr. Prameela B. Kunnur gave details about the Department  along with a power-point presentation in the presence of Department Lecturers Shwetha Hanns and Dr. Gopal. College Principal C.P. Sunita, Administrative Officer Prof. Anita Vimla Braggs and others were present.
