Vehicle-lifer arrested: 12 two-wheelers recovered

Mysuru: In a major haul, the CCB Police, who arrested a vehicle-lifter, have recovered 12 two-wheelers totally worth Rs.15 lakh, allegedly stolen by him.

Kumar, 24, of Alanahalli near Gaddige in H.D. Kote taluk, is the one who is arrested.

Acting on a tip-off, the CCB sleuths picked up Kumar when he was trying to sell an Apache bike in front of the KPTCL office at SRS Hootagalli on Mysuru-Hunsur Road on Sept.5.

During interrogation, Kumar confessed to have stolen two-wheelers along with his associate at many places, following which 12 two-wheelers, totally worth Rs.15 lakh, were recovered from him.

With the arrest of Kumar, the Police have succeeded in cracking 12 cases of vehicle theft, including seven in Mysuru city, two in Mysuru district and three in Bengaluru city.
