Mysuru: The well- known classical musician of Mysuru, Vidushi Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar  has been selected as the President of the 50th Music Conference of the prestigious Gaayana Samaaja of Bangalore. 

During the week-long Conference to be held from Oct.13 to 20, there will be classical music concerts by stalwarts like Abhishek Raghuram, Malladi Brothers, Ranjani-Gayathri  from 6 pm to 9 pm everyday and junior concerts by upcoming artistes between 4.15 pm and 5.30 pm. 

There will be lecture-demonstrations by many exponents of the music field about the classical music composers of Karnataka during the Vidwath Sadas everyday between 10 am and 12.30 pm.

 Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar’s concert will be at 6 pm on Oct. 18. She will be presenting a lec-dem at 10 am on Oct. 14. On the concluding day (Oct. 20), she will be conferred with the title “Sangeetha Kalarathna” in the Vidwath Sadas at 10 am.
