BCCI Men’s One-Day Tournament: Tamil Nadu beat Baroda

A deadly spell of bowling by Siddharth M. Manimaran (5 for 22), supported well by Rahul D. Devandran (2 for 16), enabled Tamil Nadu to bowl out Baroda for a paltry 58 in 18.4 overs and in reply, scored 59 for one in 17.2 overs, to register a big nine-wicket win in their BCCI Men’s One-Day Tournament’s Plate ‘A’ Game played at PET Grounds here on Monday.

Put into bat, Baroda’s batsmen fell to the guile’s of Tamil Nadu’s bowlers, with Siddharth Manimaran (3.4-0-22-5) and Rahul Devendran (6-3-16-2) and were bowled out for 58.

In reply, Tamil Nadu scored 59 for one in 17.2 overs.  Opener Vignesh V. Gunti (21 n.o., 56b, 3×4) and Lokeshwar S. Suresh (28 n.o., 32b, 4×4) were the scorers. 

Five wicket win for Vidarbha

Good batting by opener Atharva Y. Taide (32,47b, 1×4), Mohit R. Kale (29,44b,1×4) and Nayan R. Chavan (26,32b,1×4,1×6), helped Vidarbha to register a five-wicket win over hosts Karnataka in a match reduced to 36-overs due to overnight rain at the SDNR Wadiyar Grounds.

Put into bat, Karnataka scored 151 for seven in 36 overs. Middle-order batsman Adarsh    S. Prajwal (48,71b,1×4, 1×6) and Kishan S. Bedare (38,39b,3×4) were the scorers.

Nachiket N. Bhute impressed for Vidarbha taking three for 27. In reply, Vidarbha scored 153 for five in 33.2 overs and scored a five-wicket win.

In the other game at JSS-SJCE Grounds, Jammu & Kashmir scored a five-wicket win over Maharashtra. A century by Maharashtra’s Atharva K. Kale (102, 89b,9×4,5×6) went in vain.
