The following persons have adopted the animals of Mysore Zoo (Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens) under ‘Adoption of Animals’ scheme by paying the adoption fee: Yogesh Kabir – King Cobra, Indian Cobra, Common Rat Snake (Rs.6,500), Rajashree Ganguly – Love Bird (Rs. 1,000), Dr. Vikas Gunishetty – Mandarin Duck (Rs. 2,000), Gowri Nagaraj – King Cobra, Indian Cobra, Indian Softshell Turtle and Gharial (Rs.15,000), V. Sanavi – Red Necked Wallaby (Rs. 7,500), Leela Krishnan – Deer ( Rs.7,000), Lavith Chaturvedi – Love Bird (Rs. 1,000), T.B. Vishwanath – Mouse Deer and White Peacock (Rs. 11,000), according to the Zoo Executive Director.
