Mysuru: Newly nominated Chairman of Karnataka Sahitya Academy Dr. B.V.  Vasanth Kumar was felicitated by President of Karnataka Sangha Prof. Jayaprakash Gowda at Maneyangala in Kalamandira recently.

The felicitation ceremony was organised by Kannada Sahitya Kalakoota in association with Talukina Venkannaiah Smaraka Granthashale and Kalpavruksha Trust, Mysuru.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Jayaprakash Gowda praised the Professor, Writer and Vyakhyanakara Dr. Vasanth Kumar and said that Dr. Vasanth Kumar mesmerises audience with his explanations that he provides for each stanza of Gamaka with examples and anecdotes.  

Director of Kuvempu Institute for Kannada Studies Prof. Neelagiri M. Talawar also spoke on the occasion. Writer Dr. Latha Rajashekar presided.
