CM inaugurates JSS Hospital in Chamarajanagar

Chamarajanagar: Chief Minister Siddharamaiah inaugurated the newly-built Rs. 25 crore JSS Hospital on the double road in the town this morning by cutting a tape.

Minister for Food and Civil Supplies and Chamarajanagar district in-Charge Minister U.T. Khader inaugurated the Operation Theatre, while MP R. Dhruvanarayan inaugurated the Casualty and Emergency units, former MLA Vatal Nagaraj inaugurated the Dialysis unit and Chamarajanagar MLA C. Puttaranga Shetty inaugurated the hospital canteen.

The CM later inaugurated the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of JSS Women’s College in the town, which was also the venue of the stage programme. Minister for Higher Education Basavaraj Rayareddy released the souvenir marking the Golden Jubilee celebration of the College.

Speaking on the occasion, Basavaraj Rayareddy said Suttur Mutt had a long history of service. Pointing out that Suttur Mutt had dedicated itself for serving the mankind and to work for the welfare of the society, the Minister lauded the role of JSS Institutions in imparting education to thousands of students.

Rayareddy announced that a Residential Government First Grade College will be coming up in Chamarajanagar next month. The Govt. is mulling on distributing free laptops to students of Govt. Colleges, he added.

Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji and Vijayapura Gnanayogashrama’s Sri Siddeshwara Swamiji graced the occasion. MLAs R. Narendra, Jayanna and Dr. Geetha Mahadevaprasad, MLCs R. Dharmasena and K.T. Srikantegowda, former MLA C. Guruswamy, Chamarajanagar ZP President M. Ramachandra and others were present.
