Sir,
When digitisation was the mantra everywhere and paperless offices are becoming prominent, many Government Offices have switched over to the new system and performing well.
The MCC too initiated action on this and the water bills which were given in print version were slowly shifted to soft version. Though there were certain hiccups initially, MCC initiated certain apps to make payment.
Subsequently, within no time, this system again went wrong and after some time, water bills were sent to consumers by sms/email/google pay and the consumers paid them in their own digital fashion.
Now again, on 26th of June, the water meter reader has reckoned the reading in our locality, and after 5 days, we are finding it difficult to pay them online.
While on one hand MCC cries for revenue generation by urging people to clear water dues, it is not known why it is not making user-friendly approach to the prompt payers which in turn can fill the MCC exchequer to some extent. Can some IT persons in the department set right this and enable hassle-free online water bill payment please?
