COVID safety precautions lacking among motorists

August 31, 2020

Sir,

Although Covid-19 cases are increasing in city, some people are not taking precautions. Many are seen either not wearing the mask or wearing it wrongly by exposing their nose.

Ignoring the social distancing norm to avoid the spread of COVID-19, triple riding became the most common feature on city roads (see photo taken recently).

These riders are not wearing helmets or masks and riding in the wrong direction violating the one-way rule.

Primary safety precautions either for COVID-19 or road safety, are lacking. Better not to say about spitting while riding on the two-wheelers. When our people will become self-conscious is not known.
