‘Bommanahalliya Kindarijogi’: Gets nod for screening at educational institutions

September 5, 2020

Bengaluru: Primary and Secondary Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar has given permission for the screening of Bommanahalliya Kindarijogi, a popular Kannada drama which has been filmed by Mysuru Rangayana, at all educational institutions in the State.

This permission came after Addanda C. Cariappa, Rangayana Director, met the Minister in Bengaluru on Aug.31 and had appealed him to allow screening of the play that was brought in dialogue format by the artistes.

This will be in accordance with the recently announced National Education Policy (NEP) by the Central Government.

“There is lot of similarity between the play and the current situation. While a character called Kindarijogi helps Bommanahalli village to get rid of the rat menace, now the Corona Warriors are striving to do away with COVID-19 pandemic which has gripped the entire world,” he added.
