Golden temple at Bylakuppe to remain closed till Dec.26

October 31, 2020

The famous Golden Temple at Bylakuppe near the border of Mysuru – Kodagu districts on Mysuru-Madikeri road, will remain closed for tourists till Dec.26 as a safety measure in the wake of rampant spread of the deadly COVID-19 contagion. The Golden Temple (Tibetan Namdroling Monastery) at Bylakuppe located close to Kushalnagar, which is a major tourist attraction, was closed for visitors in March this year following the outbreak of the deadly pandemic. Now, the temple functionaries have extended the closure till Dec.26 as a precautionary measure. Following the closure, the Temple Management has appealed the tourists, both domestic and international, not to visit the temple until it is re-opened for them.
