Six motorcycles worth Rs. 3.5 lakh recovered
Mysore/Mysuru: In a major catch, the KR Police have recovered six stolen two-wheelers with the arrest of four persons, three among them being minors.
The arrested has been identified as Kiran, 19 years, a resident of Tent Road, Kyathamaranahalli here, while three others are children in conflict with the Law.
The KR Police on regular night rounds duty, who found six youngsters criss-crossing the lanes of KR Mohalla in a suspicious manner riding on two motorcycles on Thursday, intercepted them for questioning. While four of them were caught, two others managed to escape. During interrogation, the four confessed to have lifted two-wheelers at many places in and around the city, following which six stolen motorcycles, totally worth about Rs. 3.5 lakh, were recovered from them.
With the arrest of the four, the Police have cracked two cases of vehicle thefts in KR, two in Nazarbad and one each in Udayagiri and Srirangapatna Police Station limits.
While Kiran has been remanded to Judicial custody, the three children in conflict with the Law have been sent to a Children Care Centre in city.
The Police are on the lookout for two others, who managed to flee.
The nabbing and recovery operation was carried out by KR Police Inspector L. Srinivas, PSIs D. Krishna and Siddaswamy, ASI Vinod and other staff under the guidance of DCP (Crime & Traffic) Geetha Prasanna and KR ACP Poornachandra Tejaswi.
