Kudos to Team India: Keep up the fighting spirit

January 21, 2021

Sir,

India’s victory at Gabba is  marvellous and historic as none of the cricketing countries has defeated Aussies in this ground since 1988. Young India’s performance is adorable as the budding boys have shown the world their tenacity, grit and proved that they can withstand the pressure, yet perform.

This victory is historical as Australian team had the confidence (overconfidence?) of decimating India and winning the series as they had the backing of their own record in this ground.

It is ironic that where senior players failed youngsters proved they can. Congratulations India on winning the Gavaskar – Border Trophy. Keep up this fighting spirit and fight the English as we have the home advantage.
