Mysore/Mysuru: JITO Mysore Ladies Wing celebrated Sankranti and winter festival in a unique fashion at Mysore Pinjrapole Society by organising a programme titled ‘Winter Haldi and Sankranti – Do Sanskritiyonka Milan’ on Jan. 22.

The colourful event was marked with traditional dancing of Ghoomar and a lavish winter lunch prepared with Haldi (Turmeric) as the main ingredient. There were 225 ladies and 60 children participants.

Ladies Wing Chairperson Bhavna Salecha welcomed. Chanchal Lunker, Bharthi Mehta, Urmila Salecha and Bhavani Shah helped in organising the event. Secretary Sushila Lunker proposed a vote of thanks.

JITO Mysore Chairman Chandragupt Katariya, CS Mahaveer Gadiya, Secretary Jaykumar Salecha, Treasurer Manohar Sankala and PRO Rajan Baghmar were present.

KKG Zone Treasurer Deepak Bohra and Mysore Pinjrapole Society Trustee Ramesh Srisimal, JITO Mysore Youth Wing Chairperson Tarun Kanted and Secretary Ved Salecha also were present.

A sum of Rs. 81,000 was collected for the welfare of the animals of Mysore Pinjrapole Society on this occasion.
