Mysore/Mysuru: As part of the 32nd Road Safety Month, Regional Transport Office (RTO)- West, had organised a two-wheeler rally to create awareness among people on road safety in city this morning.
The rally, comprising owners and staff of vehicle showrooms and Driving Schools numbering about 250, was flagged off by Regional Transport Officer L. Deepak.
Accompanied by folk troupes such as Dollu Kunitha and Veeragase, the rallyists with messages on road safety, traffic rules and precautions to be taken while riding and driving, passed through Ramaswamy Circle, JLB Road, MUDA Office Circle, Sita Vilas Road, Shanthala Theatre, Siddappa Square, Vani Vilas Road and culminated at the starting point.
On the occasion, stickers on road safety with this year’s theme ‘Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Suraksha’ was pasted to the wind shields of various vehicles.
Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Vasanth Kumar, Senior Inspectors Sridhar Adhikari, Shafiuddin Khan and Imtiaz Pasha, Office Superintendents M. Kumar and B.N. Manjunath and others were present at the rally.
