Mysore/Mysuru: A 72-year-old man, who was admitted to a private hospital in city after he sustained serious injuries in a road accident yesterday, has succumbed to injuries at the hospital.

The deceased is K. Gopalaraju, a resident of Kakarawadi in Chamaraja Mohalla.

Yesterday morning, Gopalaraju was proceeding on his scooter towards Devaraj Urs Road from Santhepet side when a car coming from K.R. Circle side rammed into his scooter resulting in Gopalaraju suffering serious injuries.

Though he was rushed to a private hospital here, Gopalaraju succumbed to injuries at about 8.30 pm yesterday.

A case has been registered at Devaraja Traffic Police Station.
