Mysore/Mysuru: Shamida Begum (68), a resident of Udayagiri, passed away here last night following brief illness.

She leaves behind her husband, four sons including former Mayor Ayub Khan of Congress party, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at the Muslim Burial Grounds near Tipu Circle this morning.
