COVID-19 guidelines violation: 306 vehicles seized; Rs. 1,33,150 fine collected in 709 cases

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru City Police, who are making all efforts to prevent the spread of Coronavirus by strictly enforcing the COVID guidelines, have seized a total of 306 vehicles, which were found moving unnecessarily by violating the guidelines. 

The Police have also registered a total of 709 cases against those who were not wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing and have collected a total of Rs. 1,33,150 as spot fines from them yesterday.

Among the seized vehicles are 258 two-wheelers, 41 cars, one auto and six other vehicles.

City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta said that such special drives will continue in city and has urged the public to follow safety guidelines such as wearing face mask and maintain social distancing among others for their safety and also to prevent the virus from spreading.
