Mysuru Literary Forum Charitable Trust hosts free camp
Mysore/Mysuru: As many as 300 residents of Karakushalanagar were given the first dose of vaccine at a free vaccination camp organised by Mysuru Literary Forum Charitable Trust and the Department of Health and Family Welfare at the area Anganwadi Centre here on Wednesday.
Fifty persons of above 45 years of age and 250 persons in the age group of 18 to 44 years received the first dose. They also underwent RT-PCR test.
Inaugurating the camp, Shubha Sanjay Urs, Chairperson of the Mysuru Literary Forum Charitable Trust and Mysuru Book Clubs-2015, said they have held several service activities during the pandemic like distribution of sanitising kits to 300 persons in IT sector and grocery kits to 150 guest lecturers. A cupboard had been donated to Seth Mohandas Tulasidas Hospital, a refrigerator to Mysuru District Hospital and breakfast to 355 Pourakarmikas.
Another round of vaccination drive will be held for the residents of Karakushalanagar, she added.
Dr. SBM Prasanna, Vice-President, Bharathiya Itihasa Sankalana Samiti, Karnataka Pranthya, Dr. Rajeshwari of Health and Family Welfare Dept., Trust Secretary Thangam Panakal and Convener Lakshmi were present.
