July 14, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: In yet another encroachment clearance drive in recent days, the MUDA on Monday reclaimed large parcels of landed properties which were encroached upon and sheds built on them, at two different localities of the city.

In the first case, the MUDA authorities demolished 16 sheds that were illegally constructed years ago on 12 sites, each measuring 30’x40’, in Vidyaranyapuram. The total value of the sites that were reclaimed is estimated at about Rs. 8 crore.

In the second case, MUDA authorities demolished a shed that was constructed on a 100’x180’ ft big site reserved for a park in Hanchya Sathagalli A-Zone Layout, by creating fake documents for the said site and reclaimed the landed property, the value of which is estimated at Rs. 2 crore.

MUDA Zonal Officers S.K. Bhaskar and G. Mohan, Assistant Engineers Harish, Rajashekar and other officials were present, according to a press release issued by MUDA Commissioner.
