Zoo, Mysore Palace to remain closed this weekend

Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens (Mysuru Zoo) and Karanji Lake, which remained open today (the Zoo remains closed on all Tuesdays for weekly maintenance) instead of last Sunday, will remain closed on this Saturday and Sunday, following imposition of weekend curfew by the State Government, according to Zoo Executive Director Ajit M. Kulkarni.

Meanwhile, Mysore Palace Board Deputy Director T.S. Subramanya, speaking to Star of Mysore, said that as per the notification from the State Government regarding weekend curfew from Friday (Aug. 13) 9 pm till Monday (Aug. 16) 5 am, the Palace will remain closed and added that decision on opening the Palace before Aug. 16 depends on the Government order.
