Systematic preparation holds key for success in competitive exam, says Forest Officer

Mysore/Mysuru: Maintaining that success or achievement does not come easily, Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF), Mysuru Circle, T. Heeralal said that a systematic preparation and relentless academic studies hold key for attaining success in entrance and other competitive exams.

He was speaking at the valedictory of the 26-day K-CET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test for admission to under-graduate professional courses) organised by Competitive Exams  Coaching Centre of KSOU in association with Jnanodaya PU College (Jnanasharada Educational Institution) and Sri Vidyathirtha  Institute of Culture at KSOU premises in Mukthagangothri here on Monday.

Noting that every individual will have a certain level of intelligence, Heeralal said it is important that students set a goal for themselves and start preparations  in right earnest for  achieving that.

Stating that he comes from a rural background and studied in Kannada medium upto SSLC, Heeralal said that his grit, determination and commitment saw him through the IFS (Indian Forest Service) exam, in which he secured  24th rank. 

Contending that Google is a treasure of knowledge, he said that what is required for accessing it is just a network connection and the students must make full use of the information and data that they would get from Google. 

Recalling that information is available at finger tips nowadays, thanks to advancements in Science and Technology, he cited the example of Industrialist and Media House owner Vijay Sankeshwar, who from a humble beginning as a small  Goods Transport operator, went on to become one of the top entrepreneurs of the State, through sheer hard work and determination.

Dispelling the general notion that success means only money and power, Heeralal argued that success does not come from money or power; it is grit, determination  and enduring power that hold key for achieving big in life.

KSOU Registrar Prof. R. Rajanna too spoke.  S.V. Venkatesh of Jnanasharada Educational Institution, KSOU  Deans Dr. Ashok Kamble and Dr. Shanmuka, Finance Officer Dr. A. Khader Pasha, Centre Co-ordinator Jainahalli Sathyanarayanagowda and others were present.
