Mysore/Mysuru: Devagitam Charitable Trust, Jayanagar, Mysuru, is celebrating its Tenth Anniversary on Oct. 30 and 31 with cultural events.
The first day (Saturday) has ‘Gayana Vadana Yuva Sambhrama’ where young artistes of Mysuru will perform together selected musical compositions of H. Yoganarasimham. This is an online event at 6 pm.
The performing artistes are: S. Chaitrika, Aishwarya Manikarnike, D. Sahana, C. Aruna Tyagaraju, M.S. Keerthana and Mahathi Raghuram (vocal); Aishwarya Manikarnike, (veena); Keshav Chandra (flute); Aditya Manikarnike, E. Pooja, S.Shruthi and Pruthvi Bhaskar (violin); Vikram Bharadwaj, Nandan Kashyap (mridanga); Srinidhi Kaundinya and Shamith Gowda (ghata).
The second day of the celebration (Sunday) has two programmes to be held at Veene Seshanna Bhavana in Kuvempunagar.
At 5.30 pm, there will be ‘Geetha Chitra’ where renowned artiste Mokshagundam R. Sheshadri will sketch to a composition of Yoganarasimham with musicians M.A. Jyothi (vocal), Krishna Prasad (flute), Shivashankar Swamy (mridanga), Achyutha (violin) and Raghunandan (ghata) performing live. This will be followed by a grand vocal recital by Vidwan Bellary Raghavendra at 6.15 pm, according to a press release from Jyothi, Trustee, Devagitam Charitable Trust.
