Over 5,000 attend KPSC exam

Mysore/Mysuru: More than 5,000 candidates appeared for the written exam conducted by KPSC (Karnataka Public Service Commission) today for recruitment to over 500 Group-C Non-Technical posts in various Government Departments, at 20 centres spread across the city.

A total of 9,540 eligible candidates were allotted to the 20 centres in Mysuru, out of which 5,387 candidates appeared for the exam, while the rest 4,153 candidates were absent, according to sources.

The exam consisted of two papers — General Knowledge held in the morning session (10 am to 11.30 am) and Communication Skills in the afternoon session (2 pm to 4 pm).

DDPI Ramachandraraje Urs visited some of the centres and supervised the conduct of the exam.

Tight Police security was provided around all the exam centres.
