Cash prize for Yakshagana books: Entries invited

The Kannada and Culture Department and Karnataka Yakshagana Academy have invited applications from authors and publishers of books on Yakshagana (Tenku, Badagu, Badabadagu, Yakshagana Gombeyata), Mudalapaya Yakshagana, Kelike, Ghatadakore and Talamaddale, published in the year 2021 (between Jan. 1, 2021 and Dec. 31, 2021) for awarding cash prize. The books may be in any form — music, food, acting, research, critic, autobiography, context etc. The best book will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000. The books must be self-written and must be its first publication. Textbooks and collection of article books will not be considered.

Four copies of each book must be sent to the Registrar, Karnataka Yakshagana Academy, Kannada Bhavan, 2nd Floor, J.C. Road, Bengaluru. For further details, call Ph: 080-22113146, according to a press release from Kannada and Culture Assistant Director H. Channappa.
