Srirangapatna: A 30-year old youth was found murdered with his throat slit, on the road off Mysuru-Bengaluru highway in Srirangapatna last evening. The deceased has been identified as Ajay (30),  son of Manjunath of Darasaguppe.

Ajay who worked for Muthoot Finance Company at Pandavapura, is said to have picked up a person after completing his work. He and the person, who is yet to be identified, were travelling on a motorcycle on Kodishettipura-Sabbanakuppe road at about 6pm when they were engaged in a verbal duel, following which the person is said to have slit the throat with a sharp weapon and fled from the spot. Srirangapatna Rural Police who were alerted by passersby, rushed to the spot. Police are on the lookout for the person who accompanied Ajay.
