Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has lodged a complaint against a woman for producing fake documents to claim  the job on compensatory grounds. A complaint in this regard has been lodged at K.R. Police Station.

The complaint states, one Kariyamma, who was working as a Pourakarmika in the MCC passed away on Apr. 28, 2010 and one Manjula, claiming to be the daughter of late Kariyamma, had submitted an application on June 6, 2011 for the job on compensatory grounds by producing documents.

As Manjula had not applied for the job within a year of the death of Kariyamma, her application was rejected on July 7, 2011.

But Manjula on Nov. 2, 2015, again submitted an application for the job along with the Family Tree certificate from the Tahsildar’s office, which had mentioned Manjula as 27-year-old, daughter of late Kariyamma.

She had also submitted the copy of the Ration Card with her name mentioned in it, got from the Food and Civil Supplies Department besides submitting various documents to support her claim.

Meanwhile, the MCC on Nov. 11, 2015 asked Manjula to submit three more documents and on Nov. 24, 2015, Manjula gave an application stating that she is unable to produce the said documents as there was a case in the Court besides stating that she would submit the documents as soon as she receives it from the Court.

The MCC, after going through the documents submitted by Manjula, came to know that the documents were fake and had written to the Directorate of Municipal Administration in Bengaluru seeking legal action against Manjula.

The Directorate on Dec. 19, 2016 wrote to the MCC asking it to initiate legal action against the accused. Following instructions from the Directorate, MCC Commissioner G. Jagadeesha lodged a complaint at K.R. Police Station in this regard.
