Baby boy abandoned in Church

May 27, 2022

Mandya: Two unidentified persons, who had brought a baby boy to the Church near Factory Circle in the town, have left the baby in the Church and disappeared.

On Thursday morning, the two unidentified persons, brought a baby boy aged about one year to the Church, stayed for some time and disappeared from the Church leaving the baby boy behind. The Church staff, who found the baby crying searched for the parents and informed Women and Child Development Department officials, who arrived and took the baby into their custody. As the baby was ill, they have admitted it to MIMS Hospital.

It is suspected that as the baby was suffering from illness, the parents may have abandoned the baby as they were finding it difficult to take care. A case has been registered at Mandya East Police Station.
