Yoga Mahotsav-2022 at Mahabodhi School

Mysore/Mysuru: Mahabodhi School, Saraswathipuram, has organised Yoga Mahotsav-2022 as a Countdown Programme for International Day of Yoga (IDY)-2022 in the campus.

MP Pratap Simha inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp recently. MLA L. Nagendra, MUDA Chairman H V Rajeev and Corporator C. Vedavathi were the chief guests. Along with them, Ven. Dhammabodhi Bhanteji, Ven. Sobhaana Bhanteji, CEO Jikmet Wangdus Jyothi, Education Co-coordinator and Consultant Venkateshwarlu and Principal (in-Charge) Dwarakeesh were also present.

Addressing the gathering, the MP expressed his joy for organising this programme in Mahabodhi School. He appreciated the enthusiasm of CEO Jikmet Wangdus Jyothi and entire team members for taking initiative in organising Yoga Mahotsav.

He lauded Prime Minister’s contribution in reaching yoga globally and he expressed his immense gratitude for his works. Later he mentioned that the Central Government has decided to bring yoga as a subject in coming academic curriculum.

Yoga instructors from Yogadarshanam Foundation demonstrated aasana to everyone, dignitaries too participated along with the students and staff members of Mahabodhi.

Jikmet Wangdus Jyothi spoke about the agenda of Yoga Mahotsav 2022. He gave a wakeup call to all the people of Mysuru to join and cheer the IDY. Bhantejis gave blessings to the gathering and concluded the stage programme hosted by teachers Snehalatha and S. Rani.
