Mysore/Mysuru: Poorna Lahari Baikady, a London-based young pianist, will be presenting a western classical solo piano concert on Aug. 3 at 6 pm under the auspices of SPVGMC Trust, VV Mohalla, at Mahajana Alumni Association Auditorium in Jayalakshmipuram.

Poorna has been learning western classical piano for the last 12 years, under Mrs. Marta Pisanu and from Mrs. Emiko Morimoto. Winner of Judy Bailey Scholarship for Music, she has also been trained in Clarinet and Saxophone, and practices Bharatanatyam alongside her 11th grade academic studies. 

Grand-daughter of Vidu. Sumangali Prabhakar, a Veena artiste and Vid. K.P. Upadhyaya, retired All India Radio Flautist, Poorna is the daughter of Dr. Bindumalini Rao Baikady, a veena artiste and Dr. Ravishankar Rao Baikady.
