The Postal Department has introduced a Postal Life Insurance scheme with low premium. People in the age group of 19 to 55 years are eligible to apply.

Urban residents can have an insurance cover up to a maximum of Rs. 50 lakh, while residents of rural areas are eligible for insurance cover up to a maximum of Rs. 10 lakh. Also, policy holders, who have paid premiums for 4 years, can avail loans on their policy. [Ph: 0821- 2417307/ 308/ 300.
