The 3-day JSS Inter-institutions Sports meet will take place at Suttur in Nanjangud taluk from Nov. 28 to 30. Sports Minister K.C. Narayangowda will inaugurate the event at 4 pm on Nov. 28 in the divine presence of Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji. MLA Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah will preside. 3-day sporting event features track and field events such as running race (100, 200, 400, 600, 800, 1500 mts.), 4×100 mts relay, discus throw, javelin throw, shot put, high jump, long jump etc., and team events such as kabaddi, Kho-Kho, volleyball, ball badminton, throwball etc., More than 3,500 students from over 130 JSS Educational Institutions are expected to take part in the Sports meet, which concludes on Nov. 30. The sports meet is being held for the past 26 years.
