Eeramma (99), mother of former MUDA Chairman and former President of MCDCC Bank and MyMUL C. Basavegowda, passed away yesterday morning following brief illness in city.

She leaves behind sons C. Basavegowda and former T. Narasipur Taluk Panchayat Member C. Narasegowda, daughters Shanthamma and Bhagya, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

The body was kept Basavegowda’s residence at Gangothri Layout till 2 pm and the last rites were held at Madegowdana Hundi, Bannur hobli in T. Narasipur taluk at 6 pm yesterday, according to family sources.
