Mysuru: A two-day free tinkering workshop was held at Hinkal Government High School recently by Vidwi’s Tinkering, a practical science education centre in association with Rane Madras Pvt. Ltd.
About 100 students of Class 8 and 9 participated in the workshop where they were introduced to a wide range of tools in the field of Carpentry, Mechanical and Electronics.
The workshop helped the students build science-based working models with simple raw materials, which also helped to understand the concept and principles behind them.
“By practicing problem-solving and practical education on a daily basis, students will be able to acquire new ideas and learn a deeper understanding of various concepts and also become productive citizens with great scientific ideas,” said U.D. Indiresh, Chief of Vidwis Tinkering.
The programme was inaugurated by Manjunath, AGM, Rane Madras “Tinkering”, a hands-on personalised practice that can bridge the gap between education and experience in the real world. H. Pramila (Head Mistress), Ragavendra (Maths teacher), and Sujaya (Science teacher) were also present at the event.
