January 6, 2023

Mysuru: Devagitam Charitable Trust, Mysuru,  has arranged a dance recital by renowned dancer Dr. Rohitha Eswer and Chinmayee Bharadwaj on Jan. 8 (Sunday) at 6.30 pm at RamaGovinda Ranga Mandira, Ramakrishnanagar, in commemoration of Sri H. Yoganarasimham’s 125th anniversary.

Meghadutam, comprising 120 stanzas, is a message of love written by a Yaksa (a nature spirit) to his beloved wife while in exile. The great scholar of Sanskrit literature, Arthur Berriedale Keith, notes that this work of Kalidasa has gained the praise from Indian critics for its brevity of expression, richness of content and power to elicit sentiment.
