Forest Guard dies of heart attack in train

Mysuru: A Forest Guard, who was coming to Mysuru from Bhadravathi for treatment, died of heart attack in the train when it reached city last night. The Forest Guard has been identified as H. Devaraj (51), a native of Bhadravathi, who was working in Chikkamagalur.

He leaves behind his wife Varalakshmi and two daughters.

Devaraj, who was suffering from heart ailment and liver disorder, had boarded a train at about 2 pm from Bhadravathi along with his wife and daughters to Mysuru to avail treatment at K.R. Hospital.  When the train was reaching Mysuru Railway Station at about 10.15 pm yesterday, Devaraju complained of severe chest pain, following which his wife called up Cheluvaraju, a relative residing in Hebbal 1st Stage in city.

Though Cheluvaraju rushed to the Railway Station, Devaraju had suffered heart attack and had breathed his last.

Mysuru Railway Police have registered a case in this regard.
