Urilinga Peddi Mutt Seer releases former MLC K.C. Puttasiddashetty’s work ‘Hongirana’ at Mega Convention of Karnataka Rajya Kayaka Samajagala Okkoota

Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Urilinga Peddi Mutt Seer Sri Jnanaprakash Swamiji has said, “If four crore people including 2.3 crore belonging to Kayaka Samaja (working class) and two crore belonging to SC/ ST show unity, Loka Sabha and Vidhana Sabha will be ours (meaning that we will have a say) and hence, all should understand this.”

Addressing the gathering at State Representatives Meeting at Mega Convention of Karnataka Rajya Kayaka Samajagala Okkoota at the Institution of Engineers-India (IEI) on JLB Road in city on Monday, Sri Jnanaprakash Swamiji said, “12th century social reformer Basavanna gave a call to working classes to have self-respect and built unity among them towards creating a welfare society. Hence, the working classes should show unity as envisioned by Basavanna.”

Retired Professor of University of Mysore, B.P. Mahesh Chandra Guru said, “The working classes that made significant contributions to economy are rendered jobless. They are being ignored without financial stability. The Governments that have forgotten to empower such classes are under the control of capitalists. The working classes have fallen prey and hence, these classes should give due importance to education and employment.”

Historian Prof. P.V. Nanjaraj Urs said, “Those in power exploit us and they resort to announcements when in power. We need results, not mere announcements.  The political parties must realise for how many working classes have been given ticket to contest elections. Hence, all must act in unison and retain their self-respect.”
