Mysore/Mysuru: Writer and columnist Bannur K. Raju has been selected for this year’s ‘Sri Sarangi Venkataramaiah Srinivasarao Endowment Award,’ for his book ‘Bevarina Bele,’ a collection of short stories for children, says a press release issued by Kannada Sahitya Parishat State President Dr. Mahesh Joshi.

The award will be presented to him on Mar.12 (Sunday), at a function slated to be held at Sri Krishnaraja Parishanmandira, in the premises of Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Bengaluru.

Bannur Raju has written more than 100 books on a wide range of subjects which include story, novel, poetry, plays, vachana, review of books, essay, column writing, edition and research. He has also written more than 6,000 separate articles.
